I am an avid reader. Until I moved into my new home, I would store all of the books that I had previously read in boxes. The boxes were sent to either the basement or the attic for storage. This exposed the books to damp conditions. The house I recently purchased offered a lot of living space that I did not necessarily need. I could have stored my boxes of books in one of the rooms, but I decided to use one of the extra rooms to construct a library. A local school was closing, due to the size of the classes. Students would be bussed to larger schools for instruction, avoiding the cost of operating a school for such few children. Many of the items that had been used in the school were being sold at an auction. I purchased a library movable shelving unit at the sale. I set up the shelving in my new library. Now I have plenty of room for the books that I had previously stored in boxes, and I have room to add a lot more books to my growing library.
