mel asked:

I want to remove a stump and from what i’ve heard there is such a thing as stump remover and I want to try it. But can you get it at a store like Lowes or Home Depot? I know it’s also called salt pete and potassium nitrate.

Yes, you can rent them in both places… it’s called stump grinner
and not stump remover
Will be better to MANUALLY remove the root ball from the ground… if you are thinking about planting something there in the future…
When grinning a root bal… in a matter of a few years… the root will decompose and the ground will be sinking… making the place look NOT GRADED propertly….
Just a suggestion

Grant’s Stump Remover is available at Home Depot.

A chemical that you put in holes drilled in a stump.

I work at HD and I know we use to sell it but I am not sure that we still have it. I don’t find it at homedepot.com but you can google it and find at at various places.

Home Depot stores that have tool rental department may rent a stump grinder. It cost $107 a day plus fuel surcharge of $5. There is also a 4 hour rate but I am not sure what it is, I’m thinking $86??
