lowes
charleston222 asked:

I currently sell special fertilizers to golf courses that have eliminated disease and the need to water excessively. These products work well on vegetables for the home owner and can extend the shelf live of vegetables grown with them. They can also make the vegetables more nutritious and everything is biologically safe. How can I get Walmart or Lowes to put them on their shelves?

Have you tried pitching your product to them ?

Please tell me your idea is patented.

If not, take it there, first, or otherwise, you’ll just go hand Wal-Mart or Lowe’s your formula, and they’ll take off with it, and without a patent, you will have no legal rights to cash in on what should rightfully be yours.

You have to see a patent attorney or they will just reseerve engineer your product.
First you must own all rights to it, before you sell it

There’s no point in taking it to Walmart directly. You couldn’t produce enough by yourself to fill their demand. That is the key to their success– buying in huge quantites forces suppliers to sell to Walmart at low prices. They rarely manufacture their own products, I think they go by the Equate brand, and thats mostly food products.

I’d find out who Walmart uses as a primary supplier in their home/gardening sector. Hopefully they would buy the rights/contract with you to produce sufficient quantities.
