I often suffer from tooth aches, hence, my trips to the Dentist is quite frequent. On one such occasion I chanced upon charts depicting Surgical Loupes, their types, uses and characteristics. It is essentially a magnifying glass which ensures that all the details could be meticulously observed by the surgeon during the course of surgery. I broached the subject of surgical loupes to my doctor. He informed me that a surgeon could not operate without a surgical loupe, citing the example of dental surgery.
