what should i get to seal this bookcase from lowes or joanns?

i need a sealant for magazine ads glued with spray adhesive to a wooden bookcase
something that will last and create a CLEAR layer over the bookcase
thick is preferred but still able to see the ads perfectly

im going to lowe’s and joanns today so if you can pick something from there it would be helpful

Polyurethane!!!! there are 2 types, a water based (which will provide a crystal clear finish) or oil based (which will provide an amber finish). as far as sheen goes, the higher the sheen the more durable it will be.
